Terms of Service

DermoShelf is a skincare decision tool that analyses cosmetic ingredient lists against your stated skin profile. It is not a medical device, and nothing on DermoShelf constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified dermatologist or pharmacist for skin conditions requiring treatment.

You must be at least 13 years old to use DermoShelf. If you are under 16 and resident in the European Union, you confirm that a parent or guardian has consented to your use.

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure. You may not share your account or use another person's account without permission.

DermoShelf is free to use with a daily allowance of product checks and adviser questions. DermoShelf Pro is an optional paid subscription that removes those daily limits. Pro does not change any verdict, score or safety warning — it only removes the usage cap.

Term, billing and auto-renewal

• Plans are offered as monthly or yearly subscriptions. The exact price, currency and billing period are shown on the purchase screen before you confirm, and that screen is authoritative.
• Subscriptions renew AUTOMATICALLY at the end of each period and your payment method is charged for the next period, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• In-app purchases are billed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) to the payment method on your store account. Purchases made on the web are billed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
• If a renewal payment fails, access may continue for a short grace period while the store retries the charge; if it still fails, Pro ends and you return to the free daily allowance.
• Prices may change. A price change never applies to a period you have already paid for, and where the stores or applicable law require it, we will ask for your consent before the next renewal.

Cancellation

• You can cancel at any time. Cancelling stops the NEXT renewal; it does not end the period you have already paid for, and Pro stays active until that period expires.
• App Store subscriptions are cancelled in your Apple account settings; Google Play subscriptions in your Play Store subscriptions page. We cannot cancel a store subscription on your behalf.
• Web subscriptions are cancelled from the billing page inside DermoShelf, which opens the Stripe customer portal.
• Deleting your DermoShelf account does NOT automatically cancel a store subscription. Cancel it in the store first, otherwise billing continues.

Refunds and right of withdrawal

• For purchases made through the App Store or Google Play, refunds are handled solely by Apple or Google under their own policies. We can neither grant nor refuse a store refund; contact the store directly.
• For web purchases, contact support@dermoshelf.com and we will review the request.
• For consumers in Türkiye: under the Distance Contracts Regulation, the right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content supplied immediately with your express consent. By starting the subscription you consent to immediate supply and acknowledge that you therefore lose the right of withdrawal for the period already started. This does not affect your other statutory rights.
• If a refund is granted, Pro ends immediately and the free daily allowance applies from that moment.

Pro is a convenience tier, not a medical service. Nothing in a paid plan should be read as medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and the disclaimers in this document apply to Pro exactly as they apply to the free tier.

You agree not to:

• Use DermoShelf for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or scrape the ingredient database
• Submit false or misleading product contributions
• Circumvent rate limits or security measures
• Use automated tools to generate bulk scan requests

BUY / CAUTION / DON'T BUY verdicts are generated by automated AI analysis. They reflect the ingredient list against your profile at the time of the scan. Formulas change; product packaging may be mislabelled; ingredient databases may be incomplete. Always verify the actual product label before use.

The DermoShelf application, brand, and interface are our property. Product names, brand names, and product images shown in the app belong to their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only. Open Beauty Facts data used in the ingredient catalog is licensed under CC BY-SA 3.0 and attributed accordingly.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DermoShelf is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any skin reactions, allergic responses, or other harm arising from reliance on DermoShelf verdicts.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified via the app. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance.

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate. For EU users, mandatory consumer protection rights under your local law apply regardless of this clause.
